Basement Update!
So things may not be looking a whole lot different down in the basement, but a lot of progress has been made recently! It looks like all the electrical work will be finished by this evening. Joe's uncle is down there now working and Joe and I will be joining him when we are done at work. After the electrical work passes inspection, we are installing all the insulation ourselves and then the drywall people can come in and do their thing. That will make a big difference in the way things look. I don't think I realized how much time it would take to get all the electrical work done. Thanks to everybody who helped us out! I must say that Joe has spent the most time working hard on everything down there...he is such a stud! He has been working long hours in the basement on weekends and even in the evenings after coming home from a long day at work. It will be so exciting to see the finished project...one day soon! This first picture is Joe's awesome dryer vent installation! The last picture is my handiwork, rerunning and reconnecting all the alarm system wires. I am officially an electrician now ;)

Yes, I don't think we would have been able to finish the basement without this ladder!

Yeah we are considering moving to utah. the oregon education system sucks. alot of 1st and 2nd year teachers are getting fired, budgets are getting cut, and schools are closing down. it is really sad, and i don't really want to be a part of it right now! :) not all states are doing as bad as oregon...so it has given us something to think about. i'll update on how things are going :)
