So we officially have an induction date set. The big day will be Thursday, May 20th unless Madison decides to make an appearance before then. I guess I better start thinking of a new name for my blog seeing as there will be 3 of us in a couple weeks!

~ Maternity Pictures by Courtney Young Photography ~

Here are some of the maternity pictures that Courtney Young took of me and Joe last month. We would highly recommend her as a photographer for anybody thinking about getting pictures taken. You should check out her website porfolio: http://www.wix.com/CYoungPhotography_/Courtney-Young-Photography.
She takes such beautiful pictures. Can't wait for Madison's newborn photo shoot after she is born!

Long Overdue Post!

Wow, I can't believe its been 7 months now since my last post on here!!! I'm so far behind now on posts that its hard to catch up. So much has happened in the last 7 months. We finished the basement project several months ago. So glad to be done with it! I'll have to take some pictures of the finished product! We celebrated our 6th Anniversary in August and found out in October that I was already 7-1/2 weeks pregnant, surprise! We're expecting our first baby on June 1st :) I'll try to keep this blog updated more often or I might as well stop altogether. I better get in a habit before the baby comes or I'll never find time to do it :)

A Quick Basement Update

So a lot has changed recently on the basement and I haven't had the chance to organize and post all the latest pictures. Here are some pictures of painting and tiling in their early stages. The tile is completed now, but I forgot to take pictures before we covered it up with paper to protect it while we put up trim and more paint. We are currently working on the huge project of installing trim, spackling, sanding, caulking, painting trim and hanging/painting doors. I'll get organized and post more recent pictures soon.

Theater Room Simulation

This past weekend Joe and his dad went and picked up our two new couches for the theater room. Before building the couch platform, Joe wanted to figure out how high the back couch needed to be compared to the front and how much leg room would be needed. We took a couple of the couch sections out on the back deck and Joe hauled some cincer blocks up the stairs to set the back couch on. We were able to figure out exactly how far away and how high we wanted the back couch to be from the front. I'm sure we looked pretty awesome to the neighbors! You know we're that cool...

Loving the Oregon weather...

Nothing like a relaxing evening drive with the top down.

Joe, the handy STUD...

My hard working hubby spend the majority of his Sunday this past weekend building a platform in the theater room for the second level couch to go on. We are putting one couch in front of the other, so we wanted the back couch to be a foot higher than the front so that the back row can see the movie screen. Behind the platform is a half wall that will have a wet bar and seating area in it. The platform turned out just as we had hoped and is plenty sturdy to hold a couch and a crew of movie fans!
